"""""""""""May I ask, what is "dielectric grease"? """"""""

a clear grease made for wiring, and when used it prevents the green meanies (corrosion) You should have this now, inside the spark plug resistors. You should have tis on the battery terminals and any other wiring connecotrs you ever tinkered with.

Any auto parts store has these in packets like soya sauce in a chinese food joint, or in little toothpaste like tubes for a over night air plane trip, real little squeeze tubes. ou can get a larger tube of the stuff too, but i don't know what you will do with it all, since it's just you and one bike.

I guess you could put it on your cars and trucks and still have plenty to share in the hood.

Mac- txs. I did not get to the spark plug job yet. Weather is just outstanding and I find myself riding each day.

TC if I take the trouble to read a thread I might as well take the trouble to post on it. My mentor taught me well. Better for me to explain myself on a thread and say I might not know the correct answer. That is better than the people that only put +1 as I have seen a thousand times from many guys. Sound familar?

Your mentor would be whom ???
I don't really see the logic in that Gene but to each their own I say.

I guess you and BD must be my mentor's as I seem to hear from both of you quite often.

For some reason your whole post didn't come up when I read it the first time so I didn't see the +1 question.
I believe the +1 is used to tell the person you are in agreement with them. That is what I use it ( very sparingly ) for.
That's totally different than a response of "Sorry buddy I don't know the answer to your question but hang in there , somebody will be along to answer it." ;)

TC if you can only give a +1 why even bother? I have seen it a lot and I knew what it meant.

I have always thought it was good Mitch. I enjoy having fun and offering help if I can. If I can't I don't mind telling someone I haven't had that problem or just plain can't help them.

Come on Gene, focus here. ;)
If I read a post and a guy is just stating a fact and I agree, I will give it a +1 so he knows I agree.
If two or more people are stating a different opinion in a thread, I will give the one I agree with a +1 so everybody reading the thread will know where I stand.
Now, focus here, if I read a post and don't know the answer I will just hit the back button and not leave a response. I don't want to waste the posters time. He will think someone answered his question, click on it and see Sorry I haven't got a clue but good luck
I started my response before I read Mitches post but he is right.
This isn't going anywhere.
It is all good Gene, you have your way and I have mine.
Sometimes on a boring Sat. night I like to get a little pot stirring going. Not to mention I haven't been able to ride for a week cause of the weather. :(" title="" border="0"/>
You do your thing I'll do mine and lets be friends. We all ride and love it that's what counts.
I'm off to bed.
Mitch, thanks

Good night Tim. No reason we can't be friends. We both ride and enjoy it. Guess we both enjoy being on the forum or we wouldn't spend time here.

TC has actually made me cry a few times but I get over it! ;)

Gene, Gene, Gene, I, like TC spoof posts sometimes. TC's did hit the nail right on the head! (did I really say that Tim?).

Remember the rules we play by (all in fun)

Never openly complain about thread hijacking. We've always done it in good fun.

+1, as TC pointed out, means we agree.

I've posted far worse derrogatory pics of SWB, Trip, Todd, CJ and others and all we do is LOAO!!! Don't mean nuthin' by it.

TC has eaten my lunch many times and all I do is laugh.

We used to have a guy on hear that always posted, "can't help you. I have V&H pipes".

As TC pointed out, how did that "new" post help anybody?!! Posting what you don't know is the ultimate "thread hijacker" if you wanted to split hairs on the matter.

We used to have "exhalt" and "smite" until it appeared someone kept complaining over hurt feelings? My "smites" were in the hundreds and that's where I wanted them!! It's a "spoof" and that it hurt someone's feelings is weird....

Look at how many members have dissed me and I take it all in good stride!

In Custer last year many got to meet me "BD" (that was for you dank!) and after hangin' out told me, "your not the clown I thought you were!"

We're all buddies here Gene..... including you!

Geez Brad, it was all in fun I didn't ever mean to make you cry.

TC's did hit the nail right on the head! (did I really say that Tim?).

I don't think you meant to say it , you were thinkin it and it just went to your fingers subconsciously ;)

I still bet you are.
