Disclaimer: While I do know a bit about electricity and electronics, I am not an audio expert.

That being said, I believe that your amp should have about 150% max RMS of the speakers to keep from overheating the amp. So, if you have 75 watt RMS speakers, 150% would be 112.5 watts RMS. You need at least a 100 watt/channel amp. 125 watts would be better. You should also get better sound at higher volumes than with a smaller amp.

A lot of folks match their amps on a 1:1 basis to their speaker RMS ratings then wonder why they burn thru amps so fast or why they sound so bad when they crank up the volume.
