I use neoprene gloves and I can wipe the sheild with them like a wiper every few minutes.
I also carry a chamois tucked behind the wind sheild and sometimes at a light or other stop reach over and give the windshield a wipe if it is a light misty rain.
Bottom line...no glasses the rain becomes a secondary problem.

I usually store it on my head when riding.

That worked for me as well

HJC makes a great half helmet with a built in visor . I was thinking about trying one of these . I use Lucas slick mist on my windshield to help keep the rain off and it works incredibly well . Putting this on the windshield of a helmet is also a great idea .

I have one of these and like it. I usually ride with the visor flipped up (the visor tucks into the inside of the helmet) but flip it down if I run into rain. Works pretty well in light showers but in a steady rain, eventually you are going to get wet!

Off to buy one of these today from my local dealer . I don't know if there's an expiry date on helmets but after two years I think I'm due !

No expiry dates on helmets. The only 2 reasons I can think of to get a new helmet is 1) it hit the pavement (whether it was dropped on the driveway or you had an unintended dismount) or 2) you want a better lid (lighter, more features, better materials, etc).

I have an HJC RPHA-Max (top shelf modular). Beats the heck out of the myriad of other (lesser) lids. ATGATT!

SNELL recommends replacing your helmet every 5 years. I think that a lid that has had minimal use could exceed the recommendation by a few years. But just like you want good rubber under you, max usable life 6 years...you want a good lid on top of you.

Lower wind deflectors and engine guard chaps make a significant difference by preventing the wind coming under the shield. I keep the chaps on my Harley year around and just installed a set on the Nomad.

You might also consider a Clearview windscreen. With the same issues as you are having on my Rocket III, I bought a Clearview and the difference was significant. No more wind buffeting nor rain in face.

I keep my hyway bar chaps on year round too and yes it probably contributes to less buffeting cause I don't get much. A bonus to the chaps is unless you are riding in torrential rain for hours, the boots stay dry and so does most of my leg below the knee.

Same here Norm, on both my Nomad and my Super Glide they stay on year around.

SNELL can "recommend" whatever they want. There's little to wear out on a helmet. A few drops of rain and some bugs isn't going to degrade a lid. (Unless they're lovebugs like down in Florida. They'll destroy anything.) Always assuming you haven't dropped your lid, your 20 year old helmet will protect you now as well as it did 20 years ago.

I have soft chaps on my engine bars, and regular sized OEM lowers. I can't go with the taller lowers because if my billet light bar, the lowers are about 1/2" below the light bar. I could maybe fabricate a wider pair of lowers.
I think the big issue is the windshield, the design puzzles me! Why is there such a large radius on the bottom outside corners? Seems to let a huge amount of air come from below and up into your face. Does the clearview have the same radius at the bottom or is it more squared off. Also thinking the recurve is the way to go.

Cheapest and easiest is to add lower of fork fairings. They take out the turbulence between you and the screen.
