The BSA program is a complete joke, especially in Utah. I'd never have my kids in the program, and that's coming from someone who is an Eagle Scout and raised by someone who was a Silver Beaver (my Grandfather).

The biggest problem with BSA in Utah is how the LDS church uses it as the primary youth program. As a result, the leaders of BSA in Utah are often people who have no interest in the program, but feel it's their duty to serve in the program if asked.

Years ago in Utah, a troop of scouts was camping and the weather turned unexpectedly cold, so the scout master piled all the boys in his van and used a hibachi to stay warm. I can't remember if anyone survived or not. That kind of stupidity and the religious influence of a particular group is why I wouldn't let my sons join the scouts when they were little.

Some-Body, Is Legally Responsible...

As for the political powers in Utah..some are a very good thing...others are heavy into "The Agenda"

I feel for the unfortunate biker, and those that care about him.. RIP.

How stupid can you be? Everybody knows you sposed to crank the vehicle and run a hose from the exhaust to the cabin. Crack the window so the gases will escape.

That kind of thing happens here in NC EVERY year during power outages in the winter.

It takes out the whole funking gene pool in a few hours. A few families at the time every year.

Paulie and Chris didn't need a habachi.

Nope, they survived on pure stupidity. They never found the Russian, either.

Completely tragic and my heart goes out to the family of the cyclist.

......so does this mean we're supposed to all go out to Utah, tear up the place, burn down some houses, and steal their TV's??? Who's our RICH spokesperson???

That was one funny ass episode. I found the funniest quote.

Tony Soprano: [over the phone] It's a bad connection so I'm gonna talk fast! The guy you're looking for is an ex-commando! He killed sixteen Chechen rebels single-handed!
Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri: Get the fuck outta here.
Tony Soprano: Yeah. Nice, huh? He was with the Interior Ministry. Guy's like a Russian green beret. He can not come back and tell this story. You understand?
Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri: I hear you.
[hangs up]
Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri: You're not gonna believe this. He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.
Christopher Moltisanti: His house looked like shit.

I can't ffind it on Youtube, but it's funny as hell!

RIP to the biker. If it was my son or father I would be pressing to have someone or some organization charged with negligence or something. This can't be just swept away can it? I was a scout as well and find it hard to believe that there was such stupid, or lack of common sense supervision.

Yeah, I got to mention RIP Edgar E. Riecke. Poor guy makes it to 69 and dies in a stupid accident like this doing most likely what he loved.

I was riding home from work one night and got caught in a torrential thunderstorm. Cars were flashing their lights at me and I thought they were warning me of a disabled car or something, when all of a sudden the top of a big tree appears in the roadway and all I had time for was to think "Oh shit"! The bike bounces and holds the road somehow. Maybe 'cause I have a CT mounted.

I thought later on, damn, "Oh shit" could have been my last thought.

What I'm hoping is the negligence was on Mr. Riecke. The article ends with, "it appears nothing criminal occurred, according to UHP".

So
