If it had the 2.4L in it, I'd be afraid to ride it...talk about scary fast.

Not my style, but I wouldn't mind a 6.6 gallon tank on my Nomad.

It's a sport tourer, I've been looking at the Triumph Rocket III touring model. Now that's a torque monster, if only it wasn't so ugly and I had a dealer close by.

Here is a link to Triumph's response to BMW's newer 1600.

In-line three cylinder. Apparently puts out a lot of HP.

Not my style, but it might be for some (I am too short)
Actually, it's pretty much a copy of the R1200RT, with a different engine. It's an interesting bike for sure. A little more HP than the RT, torque about the same. Features nearly identical. I'd like the try one just because. Next year, BMW is coming out with the R1250RT. It'll be water cooled and BMW makes a lowered suspension version of the RT as it is.

A 2.4L motor isn't necessary to go fast or quick...

The 1600 has six cylinders and well, it's a 1600, actually 1650.

All depends on how much weight it has to carry. Give me 2 bikes, one weighing 900#, another weighing 400# with the same motor. The 400# bike will run circles around the heavier bike. Sport touring doesn't mean "lightweight". Or, a Ducati can blow a Ninja away even though both have about the same size motor (1100cc or thereabout, I think) partly because the Ducati is much lighter. And because it's Italian.

Greg already has an RT - it's just made by Can Am and has 3 wheels.
