84' Venture trunk for sale ---SOLD !!!

Are you selling the mounting rack with the box?

Yes it's the entire pkg., as stated in the original post. The trunk, the rack that I made, and the top rack on the trunk. Please see the orig. post.

I had a sudden interest in the trunk locally through Bro. "Hammer". He has a friend with a Yamaha Star who was looking for something that would go with his bike. Amazingly,...it looked great. It will almost bolt right up to his bike. There might be a need to use some spacers but there's a good chance he can just remove his "beer rack" and rear backrest and bolt it on. I'm real happy someone got it that it'll look good on their bike. Oh and of course he didn't want or need the badge or script, so he can remove that with a heat gun, and I may put the badge on the fairing and the script on the trunk. I'll get the script re-chromed though before I put it on the new trunk,..........if I decide to put it on. :-/

I should say though that I sold him the trunk on one condition. Hammer,.....you have to help him install it. Thanks.

Hey that badge was going on my Nomad. Just kidding. I am glad that worked out. It's good to hook up friends with friends and we can ride together now. Another addition to the black brigade.

No problem helping him to adapt it. Have tools, will travel and YOU know it!!!

Sorry I did not call today Rick, I broke a tooth and had to have 1/3 removed down to the root with gum surgery and a temporary crown put on. That was a ton of fun but I wanted to get it done before taking off for Oregon July 7th. I can type but not talk much yet. The wife is enjoying that??

Hey Ricky, glad to hear it sold, he got a great buy. Too bad for me I live so far away from everything except fog and pot holes ;-)

thanks Gary, I'm sorry things didn't work out as we both planned. It is a long way to ship something that large. I would have hated to see it get damaged in anyway, getting to you or anyone else. It's going to look very nice on the Yamaha Star the buyer rides. I'll get some pictures of it once he gets "hammer" to help install it.

When I first put the trunk on my Nomad back in 99 I knew I had something going.
I went and bought up every one I could find at the time. Sold a few.... wayyyyy to cheap, and kept one as an extra for myself. Good thing I did cause I sure needed it after my wreck!

With all the trunks I've seen on my racks I still think the early Yammahaha looks the best! ::)
But then again, I'm a little predigest...<G>

I still liked the way the Venture trunk looked on my Nomad. Maybe more than the HD trunk. It's lines flowed better with the bags than the HD does IMO. But what the HD trunk lacks for in lines that flow, ...it makes up for in the size and carrying ability. And it looks good just the same.
