We are playing the rain also. The percentage of chance keeps going down so things are looking better. Suppose to have heavy rain here tonight 80% chance. I figure we will hit some rain Wednesday and Thursday but both days are calling for rain in the afternoons. So we may be where we are heading by the time the rain starts.

That is me in my rain suit in the picture below. So it is not like I haven't been wet before.

Watchman, it started raining in KC around 4pm and is still raining now. We're planning on doing the first 100 miles Wednesday night after work and it looks like it may rain on us on the way to Pittsburg as well.
Sure hope it dries up for the Talimena ride.

Rained here until about midnight. The temp is 40 feels like 35. We will be leaving in 2 to 3 hours. I am going to go check the roads shortly to see which gravel is the least muddy. Once we get south of the Missouri river the temps start warming up. Springfield, MO is supposed to have a high today of 56 with a slight chance of afternoon showers. At least we are not leaving in the rain.

I hope you all have a GREAT time! I really wanted to attend this event to get to meet and ride with some KawaNOW members. Unfortunately, I just can't get away from the office this week. Hopefully I will get to meet and ride with some of you in the near future. Have a lot of fun and ride safe.

Darlene and I will be pulling out at 06:30 providing there is no fog. If so, we will wait until it lifts before leaving. We will see you all at the motel tomorrow evening sometime after 5 pm. We have 500 miles to travel as per Mapquest. Everyone ride safely.

Plan is to leave around noon, stop and have lunch somewhere on the way. Chance of AM showers, hope it clears up by time to leave. Mapquest says 4 hrs driving time, hope to be there by 5:30 or 6:00. See you all soon.

Been awake since 03:10 but crawled out of bed at 04:30. We have fog this morning so I may not be leaving at 06:30 as planned. Hopefully it's just a patch of it that will burn off after sunrise. Don't think so though. Heavy rain moving ESE out of Oklahoma into southern Arkansas. Hoping that it will get out quick and leave a nice day to travel.
