I Need New Key

I had the same issue when taking off my bag and it bent my key all to hell. I tried to flatten it back out and it will work on the bags but not the starter.

I Need New Key

I just had one made at local Kawasaki dealer for $10.99. Just a plain key, I complained a little about price, he said if you think that's high, the price of one like came with the bike (rubber on end with Kawasaki printed on it) was $69.00! I said a plain one would be just fine. :)

Where did you get the blank? How much?
If you bought a blank, will hardware store cut it?

I left the key in the saddlebag door, when I removed the saddlebags to install my trunk. The saddlebag fell over and the key bent. Now it will not work in the ignition.
My dealer gave me a key blank for free and the local hardware store messed it up for free. When he was done with it, it looked like a steel tooth pick. Then I went to a professional key cutter and he charged me a little over $4 for the blank and cutting fee. And it works.

I had a couple spares made by a locksmith using the Silca KW15BP key blanks. These are larger/longer than the factory key but work just fine. These may be the same ones found on Ebay. JM2C.
