If anyone else was riding your Nomad BD it would be slow, but all those late night forays with Todd have blackened your soul so much that when you get on a Nomad it becomes black and therefore the fastest Nomad.

schoeney,

You are incorrect. The numbers showed Black as the fastest. That is why they have it every year. They charge more because you wanna be extra flashy, like BD in his ironed and pressed Khakis. It costs more because it is for show and not for true performance, like the black is.

BD,

Close, I was adding support as even thick denim isn't enough from keeping that monster from tearing through. :)

When I bought my 2009 1700 which is the red and gold/beige, my cash flew out of may hands so fast there were multiple sonic booms, so id have to agree, its the fastest.

Ok, two more points to consider.
1. When you wear a black helmet on a black Nomad you are extra fast, even red and black/gold is at a disadvantage.
2. If you ride a black Nomad in Canada, no question you are faster. In the USA you go 60 on the highway while in Canada you go 100!
Now that is fast.

I hear a lot of discusion (joking) about how fast Nomads are. I really like my 07 and with only 20K on it I will have it for a long time to come,,,,but using fast in the same sentence with Nomad just seems wrong to me. In the turtle and hare story, our bikes are the turtles folks. That's not bad,,,, that is good! A cruiser is about comfort, style and ease and in that venue these are excellent motor cycles ( but a fast Nomad???? come on that's like talking about how fast your 4 cylinder Camry is)
OK now don't everyone attack at once!
