Nothing wrong with E90 as long as you keep it fresh. In fact it's a clear solvent and will help keep the system clean. However, let it sit. Add a little moisture and you will get phase separation.

The only time I put stabilizer in the gas is on the winter 4/5 month lay over.
During the riding season the gas isn't in the bike long enough to separate

I pour half a can of colt 44 in my tank once a month. Stabilizes the fuel but makes the exhaust really rank...

I do not have the technical expertise of the other guys who responded but I have a 2011 Vaquero and have found that mileage is reflected in my riding style more than anything else. I run 87 octane as I get much less backfiring with my Tri Ovals and the bike runs perfect. I generally average 38-39 mpg and I am very heavy handed on the throttle, probably why I only get 4000 miles out of my rear tires. Cruising on the highway at 60mph I have got up to 45mpg, 70mph, 39 mpg, 80mph 37-38. Generally the lower mpg I am getting, the more fun I am having. I do run a Cobra Power Pro and this helps with mpg also.

Really, 4000 miles out of a rear tire.
You need to go darkside.

Top Cat, enlighten me, what is darkside? 4000 was on the Metzler 880 marathons(a high mileage tire) which on my previous bike I would get 10,000 on the rear tire. I just put on a Michelin Commander II last week which is supposed to give you double the mileage of standard tires, we will see.

Kevin,

Darkside is putting a car or small truck tire on your motorcycle. There have been a number of people doing this as I am one of them. Some people think we are crazy (TC) but it has been a positive experience for me. Do a seach on darkside here and "darkside motorcycle" on the internet.

He just paused to google "straight pipes" so he knows which ones to recommend with the truck tire.

Kevin, as Joel said, darkside is a car or small truck tire on the rear of a motorcycle.
Goldwing riders and quite a few Nomad riders on here have done it.
You get alot more mileage from the tire, some claim 40,000 miles.
It is not for everyone. I have never ridden a bike with a car tire on it but people who have say it takes a bit more input on the bars to lean into curves. Apparently you get used to it rather quickly.
It is not for me but if I was getting 4000 miles to a tire change I think I would try it.
Yes Joel, I feel fine, thanks for asking
Dan, I would put a car tire on my bike if I thought I needed it but can't see a need for straight pipes in any situation
I know your just bustin my chops
