No matter what amp you stick in there it's going to run hot. You may want to put a piece of aluminum under it to absorb some of the heat.

This is the one I'm leaning toward, not as much power but would be more than I have now, and it is 4 channel and pretty compact.

Doesn't your radio put out that much Cliff? This says 45WX4, Max of 400W. My radio says 60WX4 to a total 240W. The speakers I got are 500W that's why I went with the 1000W amp.....it doesn't mean I am going to be riding with it blasting.

I mounted a wooden base on the fairing to mount the amp as you can see....that's when I realized how small in physical size these amps are!

Mine is a JVC, and it puts out RMS 20w per channel, and peak of 50w per channel, so that amp will double my output, and still not over run my Polk speakers. I love my system, and it sounds good, I just want a little more power. My volume on the head unit goes up to 50, and I've never had to go louder than 17, and that was back when I was running loud pipes.

Hey Cliff I hope you didn't buy that at that price. I have seen a few of them on ebay for around $100

Thanks Dave! The other day when we had a beautiful sunny day out when I had gone riding, I decided I was going to make a video of the bike. I get to a nice place and think this is a good place to do it and when I started to record it said "not enough memory". Pull the card out and I had the wrong card in there. Oh well. will have to wait.
