Rider struck by lightning in Colorado

When I lived in NY, we had a Florida room on the house. A thunderstorm came up and it started to rain. I went in the florida room to close the jalousie windows and while closing one there was a strike in the back yard. I felt a shock like I touched a 240 outlet. The lights were out and my wife said there was an aura around my body. Scared the crap out of me. Yes I let out a yell, but not like a little girl.
