A few years and a bad economy sure make a big difference.
February of 08' I paid $7800 for an 06' and that was below book value.

Any reason you sold the 06 for an 07?
Not really a 5k swing since one was new and the other wasnt. The 07 was bought new in 08. It was destroyed in an accident in 2010. (No one hurt)

Personally I preferred the look of the pre-09 Nomads. I wanted what I had. So I set out to try and find a low miles used one. Found the 06 at what I thought was a good buy. I can't tell any difference between the 06 and the 07. Well maybe in the paperwork. :)

Having ridden the voyager and owned a 2007 Nomad, I like the 2007 better for the most part. Pluses on the Voyager were seat and low speed handling, but the 2007 had better ergos as far as position and room. The 2007 also seemed smoother shifting and in general. It seems Kawasaki created their version of the Ultra with the Voyager whereas the older Nomad was it's own design. In a couple years I may get a 2008 just to have. I wish I could have kept both.

I kind of see it the same way, the Voyager is a Kawasaki version of the Ultra. I see the Nomad as a Kawasaki version of the Road King. ( Only much cheaper, at least as dependable, more seating room). But, the Harley has some nice features too and I love the sound.

(I am 60 years old), I refuse to ride a Vision or any other George Jetson looking motorcycle. I don't care for "V" shape taillights or balloon shaped saddlebags neither. I want the old look and I will pay extra for it. So a Harley may be in my future.
