OH ....I just saw this thread...I'm so sorry...we lost our little 13 yr old Buddy last month........I know the emptiness you are feeling...take care.

My neice had a pooch like that, 'bama-man. She got it from the Make-A-Wish foundation when she had leukemia. (She was about 6 years old at the time.)

That was many years ago; her treatments were sucessful, but the dog has since passed away. She had a pretty tough time with it- understandably so. Sorry to hear about your dog.

Sorry I only, JUST saw this thread. I'm sorry for your loss. It truly is a loss to lose that kind of a friend. My heart goes out to you Gene.
They are your best friend without a doubt. Here's a test. Take your wife and your dog and lock them both in the trunk of your car for an hour,....and see who's the happiest to see you when you open the trunk.
We lost a cat a few yrs. back and we still miss him. Now our 12 yr. old dog is showing signs of real aging in the last couple of months. Just last week he started throwing up his food and not eating. The same brand/type of food he's been gobbling down for more than a couple of yrs. But we got him on something he seems to like. At least he's keeping it down.

Again I'm sorry for the loss in your life.

I took in a stray 11 years ago. We had to have him put down Monday.

I too just seen this thread. Sorry to hear about your loss. Mine will be 11 in April, she has been getting shots twice a day for 3 or is it 4 years now. I'll be grieving :'( more for Peaches then my mother-in-laws daughter I couldn't say wife ;)
