Is WD-40 hard to come by in the Great State of Texas?

I think Mac needs to move to Texas. We need his knowledge (and tools, hehe) around here. Surely Mac, you must be tired of pushing snow and waiting for June to ride.

Got karma too .... I don;'t think that will get you a cup of coffee with out a buck. So i wouldn't worry about it much.

Me in Texas? No I don't think so. I crossed Texas on a Nomad from west to east, n' I didn't see one sugar maple tree that whole way..

On the other hand I saw way too many DEER'S to suit me.

I like it cold I guess. It's ridin time here now, but I still ain't been out, but I could be if I was up to it.

I like eatting, and if I don't get the garden in I wouldn't be eatting diddly.

And that my back didn't agree with very well this time, but never the less I gotta get it done and then more.

I work for a living too, and sometimes I even get paid..

Tomorrow is gonna hurt...

Mac, I sprayed WD in it and it did nothing, so I waited a few min. and did it again and it did nothing.

I had a chevy truck like that once. It ended being a cracked head. When it warmed up it ran like crap, but then when I took plug #4 out, green water ho! I doubt that is it with yours as you'd run out of antifreeze quickly.

The other end is going to the main vacuum housing.

main vac housing?? Would that be the throttle plate body, I hope? As seated right side about knee high. Facing the body forward and right side?

Cap that off right there and pull the rest of the line, and all the rest of the lines the vac pod and cap off the reed valves, but following ALL the other lines to metal fitting and cap them.

It is best to get "Coasters" which are just plates, and remove the Reed Valves and their bodies, but the worst way is follow the lines and cit them off and stuff in bolts tight.

i would prefer you don't do that, but you can. The next best way besides Coasters is to get black caps that fit tight, and place 2 on each Reed valve body.

A poster here by the name of Chuckster makes nice Copasters for $25.00 a pair last I knew, and he includes metric chromed bolts. All you need is high temp silicon sealer to install them, and a 10 mm socket/wrench.

Ok, I think I have a game plan, I will start by doing the reed valve covers, checking and replacing vacuum hoses, checking my temp sensor to make sure all is good. I guess I will do all that and then put it all back together and see if runs good. If it don't I recon I'll be back on here to see whats next. Thanks to all.

I found where the capped vacumm hoses went to, Someone has already did away with reed valves, I will cap the vacuum hoses off better like you had suggested. next thing I have is the temperture sensor off and want to ohm it out, does anybody know the readings and at what temperture.
