Don't know right now if that will work for me. Nephew announced his engagement and wedding date for the weekend after the rally. Still hoping but it is doubtful.

Todd, I responded to the survey that I would attend the rally and most likely stay at the host motel. It looks to me like you made a very good choice on both Maggie Valley as the location and the host hotel.

Based on their web site it looks like they are well worth the $69 a night price. But there are quite a few of the more Mom & Pop run style hotels close by that are in the $45 price range for those that are looking to save a few dollars.

Like some of those folks that want to minimize costs but would still like to be right there in the middle of things, I will be posting later on to see if there are others that might like to share a room at the host hotel. Would it make sense to have a thread for that once are the details with the hotel are finalized?
