Looks like 60% chance of rain/thunderstorms tomorrow night for Estes Park. Hopefully it's more rain without the lightning.

Well, it appears that they are making some headway with the fires in Colorado. The fire near Colorado Springs now has some containment, HWY 50 is now reopened by the Royal Gorge and they have at least 30% containment of the one near Grand Lake and it really hasn't grown over the last several days.

Looks like the Big Meadow fire in RMNP is 75% contained and the Black Forest fire is 65% contained .

The fire in Rocky MT NP is 95% contained and is not threatening the ride accross the park.

Things are looking up for RMNP. They are almost done with the containment lines. If it isn't in the news it must be good.

You obviously have never been close to a "real" forest fire. Had one less than five miles from my house a few yrs ago. Scary s**t. to say the least.
