It appears I got ripped off yet again. I was just following what Gadgets site said. Ordered the exact thing he said. The quote was over the phone. Could be it won't cost that much once the shop sees the part. I think the next bike will be bolt on stuff only.

It is harmful to the treatment plants and animals. In the 5 different states I have lived in the auto parts store all took used antifreeze at no charge.

Will 28mm (1.1") work as well or would that need to be cut down, too? I don't feel like waiting a month or 2 for shipping from Hong Kong (nothing against anyone from Hong Kong). I see alot of 28mm and only one other 26mm (from the US).

I made my temp sender adapter from a 1/2" copper Tee fitting, fits and works perfectly.

I'm sure that would involve drilling and tapping the hole for the sending unit. I'd rather pay someone (or find a cheaper piece already made) than to try my hand at tapping a hole on this. I don't know how you got away with 1/2" pipe. I think the coolant line is 1" or so.

There was no tapping involved, All I did was solder a threaded fitting into the copper tee.

Here it is installed on the bike.

Heres a couple pics of the oil pressure senders, I used a Tee so the stock idiot light was still functional.

Here is the sender installed on the motor.

I appreciate the pics for the water tee but I've never soldered metal to metal. I'd hate to have the parts come apart on the road. The oil sender pics are something else. Have you had any problems with things catching on setup? Seems like it would stick out a bit over just the gauge sending unit.

Everything has always worked perfect with no problems.
You could buy a torch and a bit of solder a lot cheaper than getting a shop to do it, or buying the part.

Cats in U.K. dying from anti-freeze poisoning

This has been widely reported here in Ireland and all across the United Kingdom in recent months. I have no clue why it's happening now and hasn't happened years ago? Maybe they are only finding out about it because they can test for it now!! I'm only guessing! Whatever the reason nobody should allow anti-freeze to be near any animal.

26mm was a pretty tight fit, and 28mm would be .079" bigger. You might could squeeze it in there. On the other had, $40 for a machinist to do the job isn't a bad price for machine work.

And perhaps I could successfully accomplish that. Or maybe it would fail 200 miles from nowhere and I'd either be stranded or grenade the motor from lack of water. Thanks but I'll just pay the machine shop. Like I said, next time it's bolt on or nothing. Or I'll stick with a cage.

Thanks. I'll just have the machine shop cut it down. Gadget said 1" minus a mm so we'll go with that. I just want the damn thing done.

The local landfill operation here excepts hazardous materials, some materials you need to pay for.
