Turn off, turn on your Nomad without your key.....

Thanks for the info Trip.
To all you other people who knew it and didn't share ??? :(" title="" border="0"/>
You probably assumed everyone knew about it. But you know what they say about assuming.

After awhile you'll become accustomed to doing this, and you'll forget to turn it to lock even when you stop for a longer period of time. I suggest going back and reading the "hide the key" thread (Wolf?), because once you get used to this method, it's EZ to forget to bring your key. I've done it, and needed gas - oops

Tried it this morning and it worked great. Thanks for the tip. I have a guard dog security system on the bike, so even if you turn on the power with or without a key, the bike won't start unless the dog tag is within 10 feet of the bike. I won't have to worry about someone starting it up and driving off even if the ignition is unlocked.
I would like more info on this guard dog system

Alright....sounds fair enough BD and Doc....but if you guys have been doing this for a while why didn't you let the rest of us in on it....LOL.
Your bike won't start with your kickstand down in gear either!!

You can replace your headlight bulb with a brigher one!

Green/Silver is the fastest color!!

Nico is Gay.

Hmmm I 've been using that routine of shutting it off since I bought the Lady in Red. Now I thought all you nomad guru's would have knowing this..... :)I do like the idea of the guard dog security system thought, was it hard to install Pablo?

And what is this about the green and silver is the fastest....Just looking at the Lady In Red she is the fastest no mistaking it Trip.

I knew you could leave the bike running, and pull the key to open your saddle bags on the 1600's. A big plus over the 1500, but I never knew about the turn it off but not all the way trick.
