Anyone Interested in a Russell Day Long Group Buy?

All:

I just received an email from Kim at RDL. She stated that they have had a very busy day processing all the orders and they will start getting build date emails out soon. They did not fill all 125 slots today so everyone that put their order through today should be fine. That is, assuming they received your order. Kim said that they do not feel they will have any problem filling all 125 slots this week with our group.

For those that filled out the PDF form and either scanned and emailed it or faxed it, the next communication you will receive from RDL will be an email with your build date.

For those of you that submitted your order through the electronic online form, if you did not receive feedback with your order summary and a message that you will be contacted in 2 to 4 days - YOUR ORDER MOST LIKELY DID NOT GO THROUGH.

If you received any message other than the "contact you in 2 - 4 days" message, I suggest you call RDL tomorrow morning to see if they have your order. If not, you still have time to submit your order as all 125 slots were not filled today.

I don't feel good about your order. I would submit it again without the photographs and see if you get the "thank you" message. You can put something in the narrative about the possibility of a duplicate order. Don't wait until tomorrow.

There will be an opportunity later to send your pics in an email response to their build date notification.

I hate to see you put this off and miss out on your seat. You were at this bright and early and deserve to get your seat. Unfortunately, I'm not the one that gets to make that decision though!

I never got the error message so I presumed it was okay. I guess I am going to have to call them to see if they received my order.

If you sent the scanned PDF form by email today, you should be good to go. The one's that need to be concerned are the people that submitted the electronic online form and didn't get the "Thanks for your submission" message after they transmitted the form.

The only other concern I have is that people don't accidentally send a blank PDF form by email thinking they could fill it in, save it to their computer and then attach it to the email.

The PDF form does not save your data. You need to print it, scan it and send that copy in an email to RDL.

I know that most of you have figured this out. Just want to warn those that may not have.

Are you sure about this part Mike? I just checked my PDF and it was still filled out. I filled it out, saved it, and digitally signed it on my computer at work, so that may be why mines still filled out.

Now you've got me worried. Maybe I'll call them in the morning to check.

Maybe you've got some hi-tech software at work.
I could not get it to save except as a blank form.
A window came up and said that only a blank copy could be saved.
However it was possible to attach it to an email while opened and filled out.
Then printed off to save a hard copy.
I didn't know how to sign it, that's why I just used the online form.

Chuck, you may have Adobe Writer on your office computer. The PDF will save with all text if you have writer. It's a pricey program that most individuals don't have on their personal PC.

If you've got Adobe Pro at work, you can fill in the PDF form and save a copy with your data, if you have the free Adobe Reader software which most people have at home, you can't save data with the form. In your case, I stand corrected. Others with just the Reader software will need to fill it in, print it and scan the printed form.

Well... Kim threw me a bone for organizing the group buy. I got confirmation of my order and she told me to go ahead and ship my seat tomorrow for the first build of the group buy orders. I just finished boxing the seat up and it will go out by UPS first thing tomorrow morning.

I might actually get it back before it gets freezing cold outside. That would certainly be nice!

I wish everyone else on the list my best and I'll continue to help you all out in any way possible until all 125 orders are filled and delivered. It's my hope that everyone that sincerely wants a seat, gets one at the 20% discount.

I was one of those that was not sure if the order went through so sent Kim an email this morning and this evening she sent an email back,confirming my order went through. And that I would get my build date in the next couple of days. I am good. Thanks again for all your help on this Mike.
