Just purchased the gauges from a really nice guy from Wisconsin who will be shipping them to my container in the next few days. He just recently upgraded his gauges on his Ultra and they are he tells me in "as new" condition. They have the aftermarket bezels as well and look very nice.
See the photo and judge for yourself!

Didn't get the windshield yet as work has been piling up but I should make a decision shortly where I am going to get it as I have decided to get a 5" clear screen.

They look good Caddy! I think I may be just as excited about your project as you are.

Caddy; Nice looking gauges! what is the diameter of the small gauges in the pic. Or perhaps you don't have them yet.

Caddyman --- The gauge in the center is ambient air temp. Don't count on it being terribly accurate. I've heard everything from 10 to 40 degrees off. At least it'll match the rest.

Won't have them for about ten days.

You're right Monkeyman, as long as they match up I'll be happy

Is the speedometer an electronic one or is it cable operated? If its electronic you may be able to make it functional on the bike.

It's from a 2009 Ultra so I assume it is electronic! Can you run both it and the stock one on the tank at the same time? It would be nice if you could.

You probably could run them both, you would need the HD speed sensor and see if you could wire it to the bike. Assuming it could be done you would have both speedos operable. Or you may be able to tap into the kawi speedo sensor and see if it will run both gauges accurately. Its a bit of trial and error to see what will work with that one.

Just figure out how to run the HD speedo. Make sure the fuel gauge is as accurate is the Kaw one is (which means, it registers something) then remove the Kaw speedo and fill in the tank. I wouldn't mind doing that some day with mine. Smooth tanks ROCK!

My mechanic and I were just talking about doing that very thing when I called to see my bike last night. I will have to see photos of what it would look like before I would give him the go ahead. The bike has been with him for weeks at this stage as he has been polishing any parts of aluminum that he can see on the bike, he has also given it a full service as well as change the brake pads and fluid and wire in some extra led brake lights I bought on eBay recently. We have been waiting weeks for my tyres to arrive which they did yesterday. A new front and rear Avon Venom X.
Here's a couple of pictures I took last night. (The new rear Avon Venom x is on the right and the old rear tyre which is a Metzler 880 is on the left.)
