Well, I can't say I am a big fan of ape-hangers, but I have to admit that I would like to try riding with them and I may change my mind. I am curious what they come out like, I was thinking about changing my bars as well at some point to move them forward a bit so my arms were not bent as much. Looks like you did a great job on them, looking forward to the finished product!

Dave

i have the set of bars that were on the bike before I made these they are bolt on you wont have to extend anything
I am going to going to put the carbon fiber pattern on them as well and they will be for sell.
If you are interested in them we can work something out so you could try them out

If they are not OEM bars and are a bit different then absolutely. Please send me the info as I am always interested in anything that can change up the OEM stuff. I am so excited about getting a new seat, and also ordering the aux lights, as well as adding my Green lighting (I have it, but not installed yet). I can hardly stand it.....let me know!

Don I really like the stickers you left on the gas tank. Do you have the matching pair on the bags???? LOL Sorry I had to say that. The new bars look great. Can't wait to see the finished products.

Just never got around to cleaning them off, been to busy working on other parts for it, Always figured I would just clean everything off at the same time when I get ready to paint it

Congrats on Your new Vaquero. I have a2011. The first thing to go was the wind screen. Got the 12'' from Kawi and used the black screen as the trim plate. I was able to reuse the stock mounting bolts. Looks great and works VERY well .

That is what i did with a reckless fairing windshield I had laying around. little narrow but it doesn't look to bad I think I will have to get one just a little taller.
I was getting a little buffeting with this one

Well I'm starting to get things back together
spent the last couple of weeks teaching myself how to do hydrographic dipping
Still needs more work but I'm starting to get the hang of it.
I will have to redo this piece. wasn't quite smooth enough when I dipped it

i made my own intake and cant decide which way to go on the coating
I think I like this

This is Blue-Red color shift paint dipped in carbon fiber

I have this on it now and I think I may just stick with it for awhile

Got my pro pipe mounted. They sent the wrong pipe hanger bracket, Instead of trying to deal with V&H I just fabed my own bracket

I decided to retain the stock front cylinder heat shield because it had a long flange that I think will help alleviate the heat off the fan.
I just installed it on the pipe and cut down the V&H shield to fit.

I think it worked pretty good
Now I need to finish my bars and get everything installed on them. I hope to have it back on the road in a couple of weeks

I see an old airhead in the background. You need to get that on the road.

Nice job on the dip, you should try that on a pair of your apes, that would look nice with the carbon fiber. That intake is pretty sweet, looking forward to seeing that mounted....
