How to do tight U-Turns

Does that mean they make left hand and right hand handle bars and controls, like on cars? LOL

Absolutely! If you import a bike from across the pond, or anywhere where they drive on the wrong side of the road, you will have to replace the handle bars with bars designed for driving on the right hand side of the road. You may think there is no difference but if you look very closely you will see the difference. Be aware, it can be extremely dangerous trying to ride on the right with a bike with left lane handle bars!

How to do tight U-Turns

I just havent' been able to master the tight u-turn just yet. I have a narrow, flat, slightly less than 2 cars wide paved road that is basically deserted I practice on and I miss it by about 18" everytime or I end up jabbing the foot. I have noticed that my clutch doesnt' have a whole lot of "friction zone". It's there, but the play between all out and all in is about 1/4 of a inch. The other trouble I'm having is moderatig the rpm's while the bars are turned. when I turn all the way left, I seem to snap the throttle more, which if I'm in the friction zone could go bad in a hurry.

I guess I keep practicing

When I took the advance riders course a few years back this was one of the thing we had to to, I think everyone was thinking the same thing (dropping their bikes) But you can get that sucker leaned way over and it does build up your confidence when you get it right. Didn't drop my Nomad but sure did drag my floorboards a much of times. Just got to keep practicing and you will get it.

Safe riding and keep practicing, the Nomad can be pretty nimble

If you want to learn tight turns fast, do what I did one time: Take off with the forks locked! Just don't end up going the wrong way down the road like I did.

(That was the closest I've ever come to a serious dump on the Nomad.)

It might help (if you aren't doing this already) is to really focus on where your head and eyes are. You should crank your head around like an owl and look to where you want the bike to go rather than where the bike is going. Doing that will help you tighten up your U turns

Make sure you have the throttle cables adjusted correctly. I found mine getting sloppy after awhile, and it makes it more difficult to modulate the throttle that way. I like almost no slack.
