LED headlight news.

For those of you that haven’t seen it yet. Engineered adapters has made our lives easier once again. They have just released a headlight bracket to work with the Harley style headlight mount. No more fabrication!

I just thought that this would be a welcome PSA.

I was hoping it would be ready before spring. And SOLD OUT already. 2-3 weeks ship time. But I have a lot of snow that needs to melt anyway. Order placed.

Now that I have my mounting ring ordered, What head lamp is better than the LED BULBS I currently have. They are 3 sided since the general consensus here is the more sides the better reflection. I have found that with my bulbs= the low when adjusted well leaves the high beam to high to be of any use. I am hoping these new day makers work better. ???

Not happy with the price and it costs 100.00 more than I am worth, but this is what I bought for a headlight. After multiple videos and research The JW Speaker 8700 evolution 2 is the best light/ beam pattern. 257.99 on Amazon with a 29.00 black bracket and the engineeredadapters 95.00 adapter= $381.99. Way more than I thought this would cost but the cheaper lights did not have what I was looking for. With the amount of time I ride in the dark I went with a quality beam. (Wide and forward)

I'd highly recommend that JW Speaker light... I didn't mind cheaping out on the driving lights with Chinese knock-offs, but for the main beam I want something reliable, and tested.

Mine is the 8700 Evolution 2, bought from the NZ distributor so I could be sure it was the RHD version needed for here.

The beam is excellent at night... and everyone in the group riding ahead of me in the daytime has confirmed they know exactly where I am in the line behind them.

Well now I'm sure I don't want to ride at night. I would rather put $400 dollars worth of Gas though my bike. But that's just me. If I had a Consistent Night Ride I might consider this, but I guess I'll just be happy with my LED replacement bulbs in the stock housing.

"IF" I had a voyager I may have gone another direction since I could use the driving lights as fill for a cheaper headlamp. But At 280.00 for the aux light kit and then the adapters then the LED bulbs, I would be at more than the simple and still expensive headlamp project I chose to do. Not happy about what I spent, But I will be at night. Confidence comes at a price.
This was almost my yearly budget, for the bike. So I plan to be around for next years budget which will be tires.

Well silly me - I assumed that everyone with a Vaquero had done the FogLight upgrade.

Well I guess I will just sit back and keep quite for a while.

Now - If I spend $60 on the knockoff bulb and all the adapters to put it in - I can always buy the better bulb later. Who knows I might like it. Or when I win the lottery I can put in the better one. Until then I just want the HighTech look. I only want the bulb because they look cool. Who cares about if it works of not - It's all about how cool it looks. I put in an led bulb 2 years ago. It was called a Hikari Led bulb. It was on Amazon and is now listed as an Amazon Choice product. I have them in my Jeep and my other motorcycle. They always work and are as bright as any other led light I have ever seen. I constantly get flashed because people think the brights are on. And that is good. If they see me they have less of a chance of killing me. I also used the Hikari bulbs for the passing lights. So very bright. I would never consider getting a lamp when the bulb is so excellent.

Changing to a different bulb type that isn't designed for your headlight changed the beam focus pattern and makes it WORSE. They think your brights are on cause your blinding them.

How is good if they can't see? That's a rhetorical question...

And you blind, them they drift into your lane and you get hit head on.
How good would that be??
