brakes
Hello to all, I'm looking to upgrade everything with my front end brake rotor, pads, and caliper, and I would like some suggestions as to wheat would be the best. I'm looking to maximize my braking ability, so any help with this would be great.

I can recommend metalgear rotors and pads from Australia as I run these and are very happy with them (bit pricey thou). EBC is another popular brand too.
Replace your brake lines with stainless steel braided one's if you don't already have them. There's a whole host of threads on here concerning your question, just give that search box a good flogging :) Cheers, Pete. |

ya I have steel braided lines in the mail. I was hoping to find more options for my brakes, after laying my last bike down. I just don't want to have to worry about stopping power again.

You will diffinitely have more stopping power with the steel lines. I get my brake pads from sixity. Kevlar organic.

To stop straight use more front brake. Too much rear will cause lockup and it won’t stop straight.

There aren't a lot of aftermarket upgrade parts for the Nomads.
Both brakes will lock up quite easily. If you really want to have better stopping power, about the only upgrade is to graft on a set of MeanStreak front brakes. I've been looking at hanging a set of MS forks with brakes on my Nomad for a while now. That's how I ended up with a 03 Meanie and now a 04 that will likely be a parts bike to supply my Nomad with a lot of future projects.
