Alternative power source

The price of Petrol being what it is,i have fitted an alternative power source.I just need to find an ilegal immigrant, (with stamina, and a head for heights) willing to pedal it for a bowl of rice a day

Yes i have mate. This came from an elderly gentlemans country house, worth about £3 million.I rode up his drive, being nosey, and he came out to look at my bike. After a few minutes of talking, his wife came out with a pot of tea,and some biscuits. One thing led to another, and they gave me the cross trainer, which i shall sell for about 500 of your Canadian dollars. Not bad for a bit of junk is it. They have invited me back tomorrow to have a look through the stable block,to see if there is anything else i might like.

Maybe there is a Ford Cosworth or two in the barn ? They are obviously senile to invite you over tomorrow so maybe you can fleece them out of something more valuable than a cross trainer ?

Maybe a motorcycle in good condition ?

I did hear some barking, and other strange noises, coming from the stable area.Maybe they got some Whippets, and racing pidgeons in there, both are good eating anyway. As an ex pat northener, you must miss that.

As for the snide comment about the bike.Mine is an everyday workhorse mate, not a Sunday afternoon show pony.

My bike is a Monday to Thursday workhorse. I stay off the bike on the weekends.

Weekends are for training the whippets and mucking out the pigeon coop.

Mick , I was just outside looking around and decided to give away the old canoe I had . Putting a free sign on it in the front yard makes it disappear awfully fast . It would have made a great companion to the boat you bought a while ago .

I think I have one of those exercise thing's in my basement . My wife uses it as a clothes rack !

One of the things I like the most about riding around is the people that will stop and take the time to talk .

Just today , the wife and I went for a day cruise and ran into this fellow . He didn't say much but was sure up for a photo shoot .

Did you find something nice in the stable, like a Austin Healey 3000 ?

No Austin Healey 3000 to be seen.So i helped the old boy clear a load of crap out of the stables, and put it in a skip. Then i jet washed his patio for him.I met a couple of blokes in a steam engine on the way back too.All in all,a good day.
