Risers for the Vaq?
Greetings All,
I am looking for 4" risers, with some pull back (Curve). It seems that 1-1/4" bars, with 4 inch of rise and pull back for metric is non-existent combination. Chuckster's only seems to have extensions <?>. Something like the one's Scootworks used to offer would be nice. Cannot seem to find this magic combination in Baron or Show Chrome. Anybody got any thoughts? Momm'a is getting a kink between her shoulder blades during longer outtings. Thinking that some pullback would help... Thanks in advance, Smokier

the easiest way is to drill your triple tree to accept a 1/2 bolt- then your options are ALMOST limitless, OR buy studs that are threaded metric on one side and SAE on the other ( 8mm x 1/2 ? )
IMO the studs have a good chance of failure where the two thread different threads meet in the middle

I have the same bike 15 vaquero and have been thinking about the scootworks 1XVB phatrisers with 2 in. lift and pullback. the pictures they show on a vaquero are with out ABS. om my bike and yours with ABS brakes the front brake hose is routed from the master cylinder to and under the upper triple tree back to a junction box beside the gas tank, then to the front and rear wheels. with a 2 in. lift I dont think there is enough slack in the hose with out rerouting the hose. with a 4 in. lift and pullback even if you can find them, you may need to replace the front hose with a longer one then bleed the entire system front to back. Im wondering if the barons miter bars would be a better choise for me. they make a set for the vaquero. just my 2 cents.

I put some Skootworks risers on and they have a 2" additional lift, for a total of 4" and 2" setback. About $120.00. Bought them off of Amazon so I wouldn't have to wait. With Amazon you can get almost anything in 2 days, some in one day, and if you live in the right place and order early enough, the same day. They come in polished aluminum, chrome or black and longer lengths, so there are many different options.

question for Snake Ranch. does your bike have ABS brakes? and did you have to reroute the front brake hose?

I just wanted to try it differently when I had the forks off. If you go with anything higher you may need longer hoses and cables.

I ordered from a vender on Amazon who sold Skootworks products. I called them first, verified they had them in stock, then ordered them. I had them in a coupla days. If I remember correctly Skootworks wouldn't answer the phone. More than one way to skin a cat.
