As mentioned above, I am 5'7". I immediately did the 50' object test and the object (a small 2x4) is just above the top edge. Note that I have a stock seat (I think) with a backseat so I sit pretty upright. If I slouched a good bit or was even an inch or two shorter, I think shield would be a bit too tall by their measurement standards.

Obviously we are all different, but this is the size I'm used to. Haven't ridden with it yet (other than around the block) so can't attest to the wind pattern.

Hope this helps.

Looks like it fits you pretty good. How do you like the recurve?

I just ordered my 14 inch rifle. I hope it's not to tall. Rifle will exchange it at no charge if it's to tall.

All these are actual MPG and not the guestimator on the dash.
Hey Jim think you could shoot us a pic of the Rifle on your bike? Thanks.

I was going to sell my stock 18" high windshield because I just purchased a modular helmet and don't need the high windshield in winter now. But I think I will cut it down to 10" height as a second windshield option.

Like your trunk rack too. Will be needing one soon (Kuryakyn or Yamaha?). Also, how are you mounting you Garmin? X-Mount?

Thanks, it is the Kury one:

Here is a link to the install pics:

The GPS mount is from Ram Mounts that was from my 2001 Ultra but I'm sure that they still have all the components:
http://www.rammount.com/activity/mot...ses#ubolt-base

The actual cradle came with the Garmin Zumo purchase, you get one for the bike with all the wiring and one for the car also with the wiring.

Pics of the RAM Mount:

The top of the GPS is just below the radio screen view when sitting on the bike. I did have it on the left side up by the clutch but had to move it after I installed the outdoor temp gauge that is between the radio face plate and the left speaker.

These bikes are like a marriage.....a long work in progress
And for me that has been 43 years

Let us know what you think after you install it and give it a test ride.
