Heading back to the Talimena

With the temps falling and the leaves changing colors Lyn and I have decided to take a trip back to the Talimena Scenic Drive. I have alway wanted to go this time of year but something always got in the way. This wasn't and easy decision after what happened in October but it was something I really wanted to do. To my surprise Lyn wanted to join me. She was worried about me wanting to fly through the twisties but I don't think that will be a problem since all the motel in the area are booked. So I'm sure the drive will be slowed be sightseers. We plan to leave in the morning and hope to be in Talihina by 11ish, do the drive and then head to Poteau for the night. I plan on taking more than my usual one pic and will post some.

We stayed at Holiday inn in Poteau last Year Dave inside pool & Good Breakfast ! Have a good Time .

Our warehouse is in Poteau. I'll let you camp out in the front yard for a small fee.

We're staying at the Poteau Inn. What's a good place for breakfast

We had a great ride Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was a little cool with the cloud cover but it was still beautiful. The drive was packed though, so having fun in the twisty's was not going to happen. Going slow does have its advantages. You have plenty of time to look around and take pics. The ride home was one of my best days on a bike. The weather was stellar, light winds and my wife by my side. I didn't want the ride to end.

Good to see you both got back safe and filled with good memories. Nothing quite like two (or three) wheel therapy. Nice, very nice.
