New front brakes

When I got the bike, the front brakes were terrible. And I mean terrible in a not safe kind of way. At a low speed stop, I get a really bad vibration and kind of a howling noise. Just a quick visual of them showed it was not metal on metal, so I was relieved by that.

Went ahead and ordered the EBC HH pads and got those in last week. Popped them in and what a huge difference. I was worried that it may be more than just the pads, possibly new rotors would be needed. Glad that isn't the case. Now just have to get used to just a slight pull and it wants to stop. Looked like the old pads had glazed pretty badly.

Same here. The vibration, the howl. Also put on the EBC HH, and love them. I have used every brake pad on the market and will always use EBC from now on.

I've been having the same issue on my new bike. I'll have to try this.

I know their two different animals ( 1500 nomad and vaquero ) but the EBC never lasted on my 1500 nomad
seemed like it was half the milage as OEM's

Which EBC pads did you have? The HH Sintered, Organic, Semi-Sintered?

I sure they were'nt HH but I really dont know there make up, but they didnt last.
seems like I remember just a couple thousand miles maybe 7,000, I had seen the way they were wearing and pulled them off before they were toast and went back to OEM

My old 07 C90 rear brakes wore out really fast. If you can imagine, the single disc rear pads for that bike are smaller than the dual disc fronts on the Vaquero. As a rule, it was check the pads when you changed the oil. The new model C90's did get a nice upgrade in the rear braking. 90% I was just using the front brake and downshifting. When I got this bike and had the issues with the fronts, it was a change for me to use the back brake as much as I did.
