It sure was great to meet everyone! Great group of people. Good stories and tales. Great lunch in Nelson and got in some great riding around the area.

So I left the group at the motel and headed north, got rained on at Crawford Bay but the rains quit by Kaslo.

Home today @ 4:30 pm safe and sound. Stayed in front of the storms all the way home from Golden. (tornado warnings for mid Alberta).

Sorry about all the txts and mails Al lol.

Would just like to thank everybody for making my first VBA ride a great one, The roads were only outdone by the people I met this weekend, The ride home was dry but a little cool with a little excitement thrown in for good measure, almost clipped a deer just outside of Oliver. Big thumbs up to Al for organizing everything. Enjoy the summer all ride safe.

JJ and myself arrived home safe and sound Tuesday afternoon. Again, thanks to Al for organizing a great rally. Great meeting you all again, former and new acquaintances. See you all at the next one.

Thumbs Up

...I had a great time at our rolling rally. Much thanks to Al and whoever else was involved in putting it together. I made it home in good shape although it was a wet ride for some of it. Great to see you all and look forward to the next one!

It was great to ride again with old friends and meet new ones. These rallies don't happen without someone to organize them so thanks again Al.

Guys, you are all very welcome. I was very glad to be instrumental in bringing all of you together for a fun weekend!

As for the comments about "the next one", I guess I may have started something here. We'll have to see where that goes.

You've been informally drafted Al.

I arrived home today to see an email from Anne & George at the Bavarian Orchard in Creston in my Inbox. It says:

Hi Al,

I trust you got home safely and are back to the old grind.

I just wanted to say Thank You! THANK YOU! you have the greatest bunch of bikers.

All the best

Anne & George

I think that we all agree that they are a pretty neat couple. I replied and thanked them for the cool ride (camel) bells that they had given us. Those ought to keep you three guys safe, even when travelling in Libya!

Please Share Your Pictures of the Ride

I have created a photobucket account for our pictures of the ride (and hopefully future Western Canada rides). Please upload and share your pictures from the ride for all to see.

Here's one that Andy (Kawvoy) sent me. Some of us departing the Selkirk Lodge in Nakusp:

Seawolf, Eagle Eye, Echo and Lomax in downtown Nelson. The guy at the far right is a new recruit to the VBA

The bell already did it's job, on the way home just outside of Oliver a deer cross the highway in front of me I missed it by two or 3 feet, 340 Driver was right behind me and got to see all the excitement.
