Having a hard time getting a key made....

Local shop went under thay use to make my keys now a locksmith wants 90.00 for a key. Any ideas?

At that price I'm assuming you don't have a key that can be copied or have the key code for the lock.

Yeah they assumed thay to. Found a place 3.50 a key ill take 5.

I had mine copied at the local True Value Hardware and they had the blank also. I did have to shave the shoulder so the key would work in the ignition switch. It works for the saddle bags and gas cap but not the steering lock.

You should be able to buy the proper blanks on Ebay and take them to a locksmith for copying. The model should be on the key.

Want a cheap spare key?, the ilco x121 dc3 blank works. Got mine made at a mom- pop hardware, I think I paid $2.00. I did have to thin down both flat sides ever so slightly with a flat file for it to work all locks.
