Just make sure you wear your skirt the next time we go in to a bar at bike week.

Funny, I don't recall being topless............... was I ? I recall having my Remington Rand that day. Oh Skirt not shirt.... Sure.

I am pretty sure none of that group wanted to see me with a bug up my azz either The gun seemed to be enough, and I still carry that gun, or others like it every day.

I have one of those inexpensive studded bags of fake leather with a single mounting hole/plate in the back. The Kawi windshield crossbar is much lower than H-D, so to get the bag above the bars (I have risers) I made a mount that attaches to the two center screws in the windshield bar and meets at the top, where the bag screw hole is, like an inverted V. Not the most trick, but works. The flap tucks in behind the riser bar clamp an I can open and close the bag with one hand. Can get a drink of water while moving using a bottle with a sport top.

I just hold the windshield pouch where I want it, mark where the holes should be and drill the windshield.
Haven't had a windshield crack yet

UPDATE: Looking at this further, this bag would not work too good on my scoot. The main bar across my windshield is actually lower than the handlebars on the edges. No way the side bags would fit behind the handle bars (at least not where it would look worth a sh.t). Would not recommend for the 1500 at least.

Haha! I use one on my much smaller island too though. It's so we can keep the hell off the straight main road, and stay on the nice twisty one.

Edit: Anyway... we're getting old, and a bit worried we might forget where we live?

hello, hello, hello,is there anybody in there ! you are on an island too mate, why do you think you need it and i dont ? This particular island is crammed with small country lane's leading to thousand's of little village's,our town's and cities are'nt laid out in straight line's of block's like your's are,the road's are built on ancient cart track's that weave all over the place, and unless you are local you are going to get lost, and i can do that in a car park
