Darkside tire question
Has anyone tried the Goodyear assurance 175/60/16? I just put one on my spare rear wheel and now have it on the bike, just wondering if anyone had tried this as it was the closest I could find in Canada to stock size, running 35 psi in it right now.

I ran the same tire but in a 205 on an 07 nomad with no problems. That would be just a little narrower which might be good since the 205 had very little clearance.

Thanks, now if the weather would cooperate maybe i could take it for a spin to see how it handles, I had the darkside tire on before but on an 05 Nomad, I liked it. Hopefully I will like this one as well.

Mr Smokey, I'm considering going to the darkside, how is that Goodyear tire working out for you?

Been running darkside for almost 20 years. I have found that the Dunlop 5000 is a great tire . I run a 195/60 on my voyager and the handling is great. If the tire is new please don't do any hard carving or such before about 400 miles as the release compound soaks further into the rubber taking a while to wear down for gripping. I have run several different brands including a cheap Achilles and have had good luck with all. Just my 2 cents. I am new here and wanted to give my knowledge of my own experience.

Not bad, I have two rear wheels so I mounted a bike tire on the one and the car tire on the other, I plan on changing them out when I tow the trailer, put the car tire on for that and then switch back to the bike tire for more sporty type riding without the trailer.

Yea, the air pressure is an individual preference. To soft will let you know real quick as the side wall flex to much. Usually 32-38 is good for 2 up
