I have been off the site for awhile. Cliff sent me an email with a link to this post. I am planning on going. I wanted to do a long ride west next year and this will fit in nicely.

Is there a post that gives more details (dates and possible rides??).

Hope all of you are having a good late fall.

It' will be the week of June 15th, Bill.

Right now Brad, Marie and I will be showing up Saturday June 13th and leaving the following Saturday.

No real formality or rides planned at this time.

We will be staying a 3 Peaks Resort & Beach Club.

I talked to Dawn @ 530-544-4131 for the best rates.

Hey Charlie....I was thinking about showing up Monday....but I've decided to just do two long days Saturday and Sunday. Basically, I'm gonna run over I-90 to Yakima, then south on 97 to La Pine, OR on Saturday (which is right about the halfway point). There is a Best Western there right next to a Shell station. Then from La Pine, hit that lonesome road we took heading to Kanab (31) down past Summer Lake to connect with 395 for the remainder of the run on Sunday. Besides, taking 31 keeps you from having to ride 97 too far south of Bend. The truck traffic is horrendous from there to Klamath Falls and I swore I would never ride that again. It will be two long days in the saddle, but worth it to be there Sunday and save an extra night's lodging.

Schoeney....think about maybe meeting us in La Pine if you don't have another route in mind. I want to get on the eastern side of the Cascades because June can still be wet on the west side. 31 runs through some open ranch land where you swear you are the only living human for a hundred miles........its really a great ride with a nice little breakfast stop at Summer Lake Lodge.

I have the week previous off and am thinking of spending 2 weeks traveling. Ava may fly to Sacramento and meet me to go to the rally.
