2009 and 2010 Nomads and Voyagers for the uninformed

I wanted to clear up some misconceptions for the uninformed that come looking for info on the 09 and 10 1700's that may be considering buying these bikes.

The 09 and 10 1700's have/had an issue with ECU where the bike would stall while riding the bike. Kawasaki fixes this issue free of charge and it takes about an hour. I brought mine into a dealer last year I was back out after a cup of coffee at the local donut shop.

The bike itself weighs about 845 lbs. but feels like a much lighter bike. It is easy to move around at slow speeds and cruises all day in comfort. I'm 5' 10" tall and had a leg injury a couple of years ago that made me go to a C50. The 09 and 10 Nomad is more balanced and lighter on the leg than the C50 was. The seat height is 1 inch taller. Anyone that thinks the 845 lbs. is an issue riding one of these bikes really needs to test ride one of them and they will be pleasently surprised.

Got a 2011 Nomad and weight is not an issue. Test rode 15- 20 different bikes last 2 years before I settled on the Nomad. No regrets!
