Hi All...we will be offering a new informative blog each week on our website.

Our latest two address "what material is the shield made from; DOT approvals" and the "why choose a recurve (and all are recurves equal?)"

Here's the links:

http://www.clearviewshields.com/blog/department-transportation-certification/

Also, don't forget to mention your forum discount: the coupon code is "Vulcan"

Wish I would have know about the discount when I ordered mine a few months ago, that said, I have found the shield to be the best I have used so far, and I have had a lot of different ones. I get little to nil turbulence on the helmet and have the tallest available for the voyager with the vent installed as well. The neck pain is virtually eliminated and is only noticeable when I get buffeting from cross winds, which no windshield will eliminate. I would recommend this shield to anyone in the market for a new one.

That coupon code does not appear to work. Can you specify what the coupon is worth? what discount are you offering?

Question - do the non-vented windshields (Voyager 1700) come with the black strip across the bottom, like I see in the pictures on the web site? I painted my stock shield to hide the backside of my windshield tri-pouch.

Win_Surfur,
Just got my Clearview shield in today. Ordered the medium light gray without the vent. The bottom of the shield is black.

BigA80,
I ordered the medium light gray shield. I'm 5'7" and it is too tall for me. I also have an Ultimate seat that raises me up an inch or so. I used their vertical measuring technique and talked to Mark before ordering. Sending it back today. I got on a level surface and put an object 50' away. I put a piece of tape on the shield where I could look over it and see the object. The tape was 2" down from the top of the shield. That makes it 1" shorter than their short shield. Considering a 10" Windvest now.

Frank

Installed the new Clearview shield on my Voyager - small, light gray, non-vented - looks good, and no more wind than with the stock shield at highway speed. Very pleased.

Dang, just got my shield and I forgot to apply the discount code...oh well. I will say this. I only got a chance to use it once on about a 20 mile ride, and I LOVE it. I am 6'5", got the "Large" windshield, no vent, and smoke tint, and its perfect.
