Al, thanks for the note, went and found your post. I am planning a trip to Alaska in 2014. Have plenty of flex today so haven't nailed down schedule or Al/Can part of route but know will come from east coast (I'm in North Carolina) to west via Northern Indiana then central Iowa then Boulder CO and angle north west after that. Would be easy to hook up with folks along the way and would be great to have company on ride. I am not a camper, so plan to motel it when ever poss. Hot shower and dry bed at night make the daytime rides much more fun. Email me at trosschess@hotmail.com and share some details of your plans.

The route is still in the planning stages. The route on the video is not mine.

I meant with the Motorcycle Cruiser article. If you are there, you might as well go all the way.

But maybe not of my Victory....over 200 miles a tankful....!! Sorry Bud...that was sitting high on the tee and I just couldn't help myself.... I can't believe Brad didn't beat me to it....! That would be a great ride but it can be hard on bikes. Although the Al-Can is all paved, there are long stretches of gravel every year due to constant construction as the permafrost plays hell on the road. Those patches can be miles of mud and soft gravel, and you just never know how it could impact your ride. I think I read where fuel is pretty readily available at least every 100 miles or something like that. I have read a lot about this run myself, living here in the NW like I do.....

I can break 300 on mine and a GSA will do better than that.

Ya .. that could happen, but I'm going anyway, and would be more fun as a group.
