Wolo 519 Air Horn Mount

I hadn't seen one mounted like this when I searched a while back; finally got around to mounting it this week(inspection is due!). Just had to fab a little bracket out of some aluminum bar stock. I was able to wire into the factory horn button extremely easily with a generic air horn install kit picked up from Advance Auto but I am sure is available at any parts store.
I am really happy with the results; the sound projects well and it looks great IMO.

Also a very nice install.

Nice job tucking it in there... I wanted to get mine up near where the factory horns were like that but couldn't make it work.

Here's where I put mine in the same place as the factory horn.

I took a piece of aluminum angle drilled 2 holes painted black and mounted in the same hole that the factory horn was in.

Factory horn location for mine was between the motor and radiator up near the neck of the frame...my ignition is where your horn is.

I'm a cheapskate, and also prefer to go stealth... I replaced my OEM horns (1500 location like yours) with ones I bought from a wrecker off a Subaru Legacy, run through a relay.

I drive a Legacy... and the horns were nice & loud so I looked for them in particular. They are almost identical in size to the OEM's, which helped with fitting them in there.

I used one of the two sets of wires to the old horns to trigger the relay, and later mounted one of the OEM horns (the deeper tone one) at the top of the radiator in front using the other set of wires.

I now have 3 horns for the wiring of 2, with the added advantage of having an OEM horn still wired in should the relay cease working for any reason.

Loud enough for my purposes, and always scares the pants off the tech at the vehicle testing station at it's 6 monthly check required down here.
