Elvis, Meet Connor, my 6 yr old grandson posing with this 2013 EG Ultra Limited Chrome Yellow Pearl / Vivid Black. 2013 Bronze Trike right behind it. Connor is big into motorcycling, and is a gifted young athelete.

If I was looking for a new bike, I'd jump on that yellow/black Ultra Limited. That's a really sharp color combo.
Connor knows a quality bike when he sees one.

TC... I would say the same... most find the HD's more compact. Those that have been riding metrics (which stretch you all out), typically complain about feeling cramped when they sit on an HD.
I would suggest if they would just ride one for a day their opinion might change. Some pretty big guys and gals ride these things and don't complain about being cramped -- and besides HD's can be customized to fit just about anyone's taste in "fit". Personally, it is a whole lot more comfortable for me than a metric-cruiser ever was. Just my opinion having had both...

Elvis, all the pics of you riding the black HD look to me like you have very little bend in your arms. Like the pic of Loafer, his arms seem to not have any bend either.
I guess I'm going to have to go sit on a Harley.

Since my daughter was in town and we cancelled our ride today due to the cold and damp weather (not to mention the high winds)... we went the the Harley Museum in Milwaukee instead.
For those that say HD hasn't made changes for decades clearly do not know much about HD's. They have several sections that explain and show all the multiple changes that have taken place through the years. It was rather amazing. Most of the changes no one would ever see or know about unless your were told -- especially with regard to their "mechanics" that are hidden. One of their secrets is that they have been able to make subtle enough changes each year or two that most do not even notice the evolution of the bike. However, they were able to maintain a certain look all these years. Like for instance. The tourer seats climb up and onto the gas tank. Some wonder why... well it is because the real old HD seat's front-end hung over the tank and in some cases was attached to the tank with a spring. Since they quit using that type of seat design, they decided to keep the seat overlapping the tank, because that is a look that HD has had for decades, and not doing so would have made too much of a difference in its look. I know it might not make sense, but when you see the progression through the years... it is very clear. Personally, having read about HD's, felt I knew quite a bit about their changes, but even so I found out quite a few things at the museum. The museum was not nearly as big as I though it would be, and to some degree I thought the layout could have been done a lot better... but they didn't ask me. Overall, we enjoyed though...

Elvis,
A bit of advice. Do not keep your owners manual in the pouch in you truck. The two acorn nuts holding that pouch to the truck will wear two nice little holes in you manual. |

Buy him a mini-bike and get him started! That's how it happened for me; except it wasn't my parents (or grandparents)... it was a friend's parents. Mine didn't know a thing about it... kept it at their house Almost sure they wouldn't have approved...
