Installatiion of Kawasaki QR Backrest

Hi All,
Well I installed the QR back rest on my 2012 Vaquero. Now I am sure that somebody may have posted somehting this already but there are a few things you should know.

1) The mfg states you should use a 1" hole saw. I think a 7/8 would be big enough becasue the whole looks a little to big once the spacers are in place.

2) Also remember that when you are installing the mounting plates that the long bolt and spacr oes in the front and the short bolt and spacer goes in the back.
That's it for now ride safe all.
Paul

Any idea how to move the antenna so it's not sticking through the rack? Havent found an answer yet but probably somewhere on this site!

7/8 will work as that’s what I used. It made things a little tighter and looked better. Also, I suggest using some blue loctite on the bolts. It didn't take long for mine to start backing out after install. Luckily it started rattling and I was able to fix it before I lost a bolt.

You can pivot the antenna at the mounting point. It can be moved in towards the fender or out towards the bag. Just bump it out a little and you’ll be good.

You could also lay the antenna completely down toward the back of the bike.

Does someone have a PDF or other version of the mounting instructions I can see? (instructions for the dock on the bike) Thanks!
