JP, I've been following your posts on the handlebars for your Nomad. When you put the Voyager bars on you seemed pretty happy with them, did you decide to go with something else?

I'm having the same issue on my bike where the bars feel a little wide, and the wrist angle isn't what I'd like. Right now I've set them very low- clears the gas cap by about 1/2". I'm looking for alternatives so I'd appreciate any advice you might have. I love the bike, but there's always room for improvement!

I am still getting used to the handlebar positioning on the Voyager. They are more straight across than swept back like on the Nomad's. It's getting more comfortable all the time, but I really liked the swept back feel of the Nomad bars. I would love to put a set of Nomad bars on my Voyager, but of course you can't as they are 1" and the Voyager's are 1.25".

SoCal. I had the Voyager bars with the Scootworks Phatrisers 1XV. They were very comfortable. Loved it. But i bought a Reckless batwing fairing and the risers hit the fairing. I have a friend who bought a Victory XC tour and he got the 2 inch longer bars and i now have his original bars on my bike. The reach is good but i still liked the VV bars better. Just a better angle i think. I still have the bars if your interested. I sold the Phatrisers. All the cables and hoses work fine with the VV bars and Risers.

I bought a pair of Voyager risers on E-bay for a good price in case I wanted to go to 1 1/4" bars. Since I don't really need the bars any closer to me, do you think the VV bars will work with the VV stock risers instead of the Scootworks? If so, I should give them a try.

Yes they will. The bars are made for the stock risers. But will work with any 1-1/4 risers. You can PM me if you want them. We can work out the details.

I think you would just have to change the handlebar clamp on the triple tree. I think all of the handlebar equipment fits the 1" size reduction on the ends of the 1 1/4" bar.

Come to think of it, I have a set of 1700 Nomad handlebars and triple tree attachments for the Nomad's 1" bars if you would like to swap for your Voyager handlebars for the set. I already have 1 1/4" phat risers to attach the Voyager handlebars to my 2007 Nomad, but can't find a good deal on the handlebars. Just a thought.
