1600 Nomad fuel gauge
'06 1600 Nomad, fuel tank gauge displays 2 bars but low fuel light comes on and tank is almost empty. Is there a fix for the display? Just started doing this 7 days ago.

You will have to test the float assembly for resistance, to see if its reading correctly.
Some have added Marvel Mystery oil to the tank and found that it has improved a sticky float gauge.

I found that the Chevron w/Techron Pro gard Fuel Injector cleaner works about the best for this. Used some in my S10 pickup and now my gauge read correct.

Mine did this and I ordered a new sending unit. When I pulled the old one I found that the bottom couple of contacts had been pressed and pulled together. I wanted to see if I could make the old one work even though I was putting the new one in. I took a very sharp knife and carefully separated the offending contacts. It worked. If you are looking to save a little money, you might want to try that first.
