I have been to 2 places to get the tire put on... one said that 195/55/16 isnt going to fit..??
Please tell me that size is a fitting size...

Both places said its not a good idea... \

I have been riding for quite a while and I say I can ride pretty well... So from experiences good riders could you tell a difference..
I can most assure you if you do install a car tire the dodo's gonna hit the fan!

That's why I did it.

With all of this "real world experience", you'd think some of the naysayers would give up. I'll be looking for a car tire in the morning when I get home. My rear MC tire is still ok but I want to break in the car tire before winter. (And of course, kill myself while I'm at it. LOL ) Rear end maintenance (the bikes, not mine) is overdue anyway.
Be sure to get your rear end serviced by someone who knows their stuff. You wouldn't want them to bust your gasket.

I didn't go back through the whole 5 pages to see if it has already been said, but differential/driveline maintenance during a CT install is a good idea since they both last 25-30K miles.

Cherry gasket. I think it'll stay that way.

I'll have to find someone local who can do that. I don't trust the local dealership and the local indy is more into Harleys. You up for a road trip?

My last road trip ate up the next several . . .
Besides, I'm not a wrench head. I had mine done at the dealer.
