Air Shock Schrader valve Setup?

I think there should be a way to remove/modify the schrader valve setup on the Vaquero. On an older H/D I owned instead of dual valves to air up the shocks there was a single valve. I think that would equalize the pressure in both shocks at once and allow for an easier time adjusting the ride. Anyone have any proven reasons this won't work or know of a valve body that would interchange with the stock Vaquero setup?

You mean why didn't they take this:

and make it THIS instead?

It's beyond me why it's two separate systems. Mine has been leak-free since I installed it, for about 7 months. I bought some extra material and was hoping to make more to sell. I even started them recently. Interested? - I included a standard 1/8" NPT (plugged in the picture) so a guy could add an extension to relocate a filler, or add a gauge if he wanted.

I'll be out a few days this weekend for our North Central Rally, but can finish a few as soon as I'm back.

Anything ever come of this? My dual fill setup which had been on there for a year or so started leaking over Memorial day. Now it wont hold anything for more than 5 minutes. If these are available for a Nomad, I will give them a shot.

Sorry, Bob. I would have if I didn't have other obligations this evening. I just got home (9:30pm). Unless there's a Christmas miracle tomorrow morning, and I get it done, it's doubtful. But there's always that chance.

I have about four started, but with a few features still missing.

I still look forward to meeting you at the Rally!

No prob, I was mostly just giving you a hard time. But when you do have some available I could very well end up wanting one.

Well, I guess I will see you this evening!

I just had to remove the plugs from the shocks so I have no schrader valves in them at all. I need something. I liked by dual shock setup; until it self destructed.

Unless your Nomad has the blocks under the seat, like my first picture, you will need more than just my equalizer body.

As far as I can tell, only the Vaquero's have this setup.
Can anyone confirm?

We have the same shocks as everyone else, but they are practically inaccessible, and have hoses plumbed to these blocks mounted under the seat.
It would seem, even the OE tube and stock cannot be bought and added. Which puts us back into the same predicament as before. Except for the Vaquero!

Maybe we need to buy and modify a air shock line kit for a car. On 70-73 Mustangs the air lines were just nylon/plastic tubing that hook to the shocks and to the schrader valve in a tee valve. Found these on line for GM http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=258509_0_0_

I also found this KIT that could be adapted to all Kawasaki bikes with schrader valves on the shocks.

Give it a shot. If it works, let us all know. An off-the-shelf solution to a balance kit for these shocks is sort of a Holy Grail. But I'm no Debby-Downer, and I can't say I've seen this kit before. There may be only one way to know
