Sorry to hear about this. I hope you heal up quickly. The insurance shouldn't take very long to make the deal, especially since he has claimed liability and his insurance has too.

Whatever they do, DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR FIRST OFFER!!!! I cannot stress this enough. To most it seems like common sense, but a lot of people do it. You can get more out of them they what they initially want to pay you. I just went through an insurance settlement with my car & wife's car this last fall. They tried to give me half of what I eventually got out of them. Fight them for more money. Get quotes over the phone for salvage prices and rebuild prices. And make sure you know what the NADA and KBB values are.

Mobandy,
Thanks for the info, I kinda did that, my bike was only worth around $4300, and thats what they first wanted to pay, then I told them about my $3000 asso. coverage that I had with my insurance, so the setteled with $7700. So yes it is worth the wait to hold out for more. Now all I am waiting for is the medical part to be done.
