Going to Darkside

Guys ,,unreal a dunlop 404 15/80 on my 2003 ,1500 nomad after 3000 miles is worn out.. now looking into a CT but just don't know what to get? I know I have seen thread in the past on this and hope I'm not repeating what was asked or said.

What is the best tire for my ride ??

Something is wrong if you wear out a tire in 3000 miles. I get triple that or more, especially with a D404.
Check our Tech section, there is some great car tire info and links there.
I'm using a Vredestein comtrac tire, it went on and fit with no issues.
Don't go to wide, as the 1500's have a narrower rim width.

I installed the 175/75/16 size, I ordered it from a tire place in Ohio and they shipped it. I think it was about $120.00

I had a d404 and got about 20,000km on it with mostly 2 up riding. No burnt outs and no aggressive riding. I just figure this is a touring bike not a crotch rocket.

I just installed a Bridgestone Turanza on my 04 1500.
Size 195/60/16
Went on real nice. No problems.
It is about 2 inches wider that the dunlop I replaced.
