Running rich after debaffle
I debaffeled (second time around) and added perfforated plates over my exhaust. It changed the sound over the first time I did it and now I like it better. After I added the plates it seems to run a little richer. Could the plates cause too much restriction and make it run richer? It also seems to take a little more winding on the starter to get it cranked when it's cold and I need to leave the high idle out longer. Is this an issue with the exhaust plates or just a carb/fuel thing?

It looks like they would restrict the opening by about 50% so Im gonna say yes.

+1, that kind of plate LOOKS to restrictive the way I am seeing the pick. probably building up too much back pressure and changing the bike's fuel/air ration.

yeah my best guess is you have created more back pressure than was stock, hard as that seems to be.
I would suggest you drill a 3/8" hole dead center, and try that, then 7/16" and try that working up to 3/4" and maybe more, but try each size going up with some care as getting it back down is as easy. Of course if you do pass what worked best, you can always make another seive.

I'm trying to catch all of ya!
Those plates look kind of cool in the picture, but it does seem to restrict things.
