Absolutely. In the old days, like with my first bike, the KZ1000, this wasn't so. The cables needed to be lubed. No more.

speaking of taking a dump..... I've been eating raw almonds lately and mercy sakes alive I've been tossing some hay stacks in the morning... Thatch dumps!!

All the bikes I owned previously had the cable and I got pretty good at adjusting them when needed. I like the hydraulic just fine but would own either.
