Rick Wegner has this picture as his profile picture on facebook. On the picture this is what it said: Every once in awhile a photo so completely describes the spirit, passion, and dedication of the people of Patriot Guard Riders, it has to be shared. This was taken on the West Coast, last Sunday(1/15/12). It was taken by Q Madp. Q runs a website for ALL the KIA's. Iraqiwarheros.org I am not friends with Rick on facebook but the comments he had under the picture are: -Also want you all to know this was at a mission in Oregon. Don't know if this guy is going to, or coming from the mission. -Found out the guy riding the bike is Ed, but don't know the last name. The picture was taken by a guy named Q Madp. Q runs a website for ALL the KIA's. Iraqiwarheros. Someone else added” He is one of the Patriot Guard Riders. They are called in to protect the families of fallen heroes from the losers that find a need to protest the wars by disrespecting them and the families. It's funny to see just how quiet they are with 50+ Bikers watching over them .. Sorry for the misinformation that it was Rick Wegner.

Exactly... when enlarged... this photo is fake I am afraid. Pixels don't just vary by themselves in photos... at least not as badly as this shows.

I had this happen to me last year in March. I brushed the snow off with a broom and rode 25 miles home in rush hour traffic. Luckily the roads were warm enough most of it was melting but I was still puckered up for the whole ride.

Agree with you Greg. Zoomed in around 300% and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I can tell you it's not impossible to ride on ice on a motorcycle as I did so for around 50 miles last year. We had an ice storm which lasted about 6 days. By the third day, my office sent out an email saying the office would open at 10 am (a friday). I looked out my back window and the driveway was still covered in ice (as was the alleyway). I figured the streets must must be better and well, They said come in, right? It was 24 miles one way to work so I got on my bike (thank god for gerbings heated gear!) and took off.
My average speed was probably no more than 5-8 miles an hour. It took me around 2-3 hours to get there and when I finally did, they all called me nuts (Heck I was!). I only stayed there until 3:30 and figured I didn't want to ride on this crap in the dark. I was about 8 miles from the house going home when I finally dropped the bike (It was a 1998 Honda Magna 750) but since I was going so slow, it didn't really do anything. The guy behind me helped me lift it back up as doing this in the ice was not easy! I went another 3 miles with a stupid idiot driver literally riding my ass (she was about a cars length behind me the whole time). I saw a parking lot and pulled in (there was dry spot) and parked the bike. This stupid lady pulled in with me and asked if I wanted her to take my bike home (she was in a pickup truck). I told her she was an idiot for following me so damn close. If I'd have gone down again, there's no way she couldn't have stopped from hitting me! I tried getting a tow truck out to help but they wouldn't come because of the ice. I called a friend to come pick me up and left the bike there for the next 3 days until the ice was gone and rode it home. Let me say, I will NEVER ride in the ice again. It almost gave me a damn ulcer!

I think we need to go for a ride. Some people have to much time on their hands.

Yeah... well maybe you can in Arkansas... but where I live there is snow covering the ground, and it is extremely cold out. So... no riding here sorry to say.

Okay - so a year ago in September (I think) the weather was great, about 65 degrees, it was 2 o'clock or so, I needed to take a short run to a parts house and decided "one more ride before she gets parked" and took off on the motorcycle. As I turned north, I could see a storm cell way off in front of me. No big deal, I'm only gonna be about 45 minutes enroute. Just before I hit the parts house, it started raining. I grabbed my parts and decided to head for home - what's a little rain, right? Well, about 2 miles down the road it started snowing! It covered my windshield, so I was looking over it and my face shield got covered. I had to open my faceshield so I could see and I drove about 5 miles in a snow storm much like the one in the picture. By the time I got home I was nearly frozen and just about out of adrenaline, but I made it! I had to peal my hands off the grips and the seat out of my puckered butt!
Don't care to repeat that! Tim

I was riding in a blizzard the other day and had to leave the bike.
I hope spring gets here pretty soon. I would like to go get it.
